In ounces, only 24K pure gold (999.9) and pure silver (999) are available — bars are refined metal, not jewellery alloy.
?
Karats tell you how much pure metal is in 1,000 parts. The higher the number, the purer the metal — and the more we pay per gram.

Frequently asked questions
You ask, we answer.
How is the buying price calculated?
Three factors: (1) the live world gold price, (2) purity measured by XRF spectrometer, (3) the exact weight in grams. The rate depends on the karat and is shown in the rates table.
Do I need an appointment?
No. For more than 100 g of gold or collector coins, call (514) 761-1456 first and we’ll be ready for you.
Do you accept broken jewellery?
Absolutely. Condition has no effect on the value of the metal. Broken, single, melted or dental gold: we take it all.
How will I be paid?
Cash under $3,000, Interac e-Transfer up to $25,000, or certified cheque above that. Photo ID required by law for precious-metal purchases.
Is my jewellery really gold?
The XRF test is free, takes 30 seconds and leaves no mark on your piece. Even if you don’t sell, you get the result.
Are gemstones included in the estimate?
No. The online calculator and the rates table cover the weight of the metal only. Diamonds, sapphires and other stones are weighed and valued separately in store, by eye and with a gauge.
What if the online estimate is wrong?
Prices shown on the site are for guidance only and based on the live world gold price. If the price feed falls out of sync, or a handling or technical error occurs, we may recheck the gold price and adjust the offer, or decline the purchase. The firm offer is always made in store after weighing and XRF testing.
